CUTTING MODES
When quoting our Card Deck printing products, try out our new Bulk Runs Dicount Mode to activate cheaper pricing on larger runs.

Cards are cut to any custom size using our Duplo auto feed cutting system.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages for Duplo Cutting: | Advantages | Disadvantages |

- Cutting can be set to any custom length & width - allowing for non-standard sizes
- Control of minor adjustments inline: if we have to pause the run to adjust border registration or gutter width we can
| - Slow production speed: approx 15 seconds per sheet and pauses to cut each card
- Only straight-cuts cards: We manually have to corner cut the cards after and this again takes a lot of manual labour time

Rotary systems use flexible dies to cut card decks faster in comparison
Here are the advantages and disadvantages for Rotary Cutting: | Advantages | Disadvantages |

- High-speed Production: approx 2-3 seconds per sheet
- Die-Plates can be made any shape & size: corner cuts and custom shapes are done in-line in a single pass saving hours of manual labour
| - Limited Sizing: Die Plates have to be pre-made or stocked.
- High Setup Cost: Die Plates are a few hundred dollars each, so each plate needs to be ordered in, this plus the longer setup time = higher setup fee

Some quality issues occur on the edges (especially with uncoated cards) so it is recommended cello laminate be added to all Rotary Cut orders
